Established in 1935, Fremantle SLSC is committed to saving lives and building better communities.

Our club is built on a foundation of service, integrity and excellence. These criteria serve as the foundation of all our actions. Located in North Fremantle, we actively patrol beaches, provide community support, have an excellent junior development and nipper program, and encourage members to reach their full potential through education and surf sports.

  • Dear Members and supporters, what an amazing season we have had!

.

As we wrap up our season, I would like to sincerely thank the commitment

of all our volunteers, water safety, canteen helpers, patrol members, coaches,

trainers and everyone who makes the dream work.

This year we have seen an increase in member numbers, new opportunities for youth and members developed and a strong competition team in all surf sports.

.
Please support our Annual Dinner and Surf Sports Award night in May and attend our AGM and social night in June.

 .

I look forward to formally acknowledging and thanking our members who have gone above and beyond.
.

Happy Easter and on behalf of the Board, I wish you a safe and joyful holiday.

  • NIPPERS PARENT MEETING // Discussion about Nippers for 2024/25 and beyond!
.
πŸ“’ Attention Nipper Parents/AGM's
.
On Thursday 21 of March, we invite Nipper Parents/AGMs to join us at Gage Roads Freo at 7pm.
.
The direction for this gathering is to open the floor to our parents and AGMs for a feedback session to guide the path for the next season of Nippers.
.
Please come down and share your opinions with the team in a great discussion, to give our young lifesavers the best Nippers experience that we can.
  • The club enjoyed a mid-week visit of 40 employees from KPMG who volunteered their time to perform jobs around the club that our own members haven’t had time to complete.

Under the watchful eye of Club Captain Matt Elliott the gear shed was cleaned of sand and junk. It was a frenzy of activity as all the racing mals, rescue boards and cushioning mats were removed to the grass area to enable the beach sand to be returned back to its natural environment. Even the area behind the IRB motors was de-sanded. We had a cull of excess buoys, weights and random furniture that had built up over the season. Each shade shelter was assessed and those no longer useful were put in the skip.

The gym also received the attention of our KPMG volunteers and all the equipment was given a deep sanitising clean. In the canteen shelves, equipment and obscure spaces were scrubbed clean.

All members should appreciate how clean and ordered the gear shed looks and great to see all the racing mals facing the correct way in the racks. The KPMG volunteers were vibrant and enthusiastic in their labour and hopefully, they also found their day rewarding.
